After all, you are limiting yourself if you stick to this definition of the purpose of Evangelion, and you are putting yourself in a mental staightjacket:

And Raphael Golb is currently appealing. Of course it doesn't alter the fact that what he did, he did in the support of his father's theory, that the Dead Sea Scrolls had their origin in Jerusalem - a theory which I agree with. See
And Raphael Golb didn't steal anyone's identity. He made it obvious that the e-mails he sent were not actually from an individual scholar, but from a parody of that individual - thus no identity theft. This should have been a civil case. The main scholar implied in the e-mails has scarpered from NYU to take a post in Israel - says it all.
The disappearance of that scholar (Lawrence Schiffman) to Israel explains why one complainant Robert Cargill, and his back-up man Jim West, have been totally quiet about the case. They can no longer chortle.
You have only a few comments on qumran and the dead sea scrolls - I wonder why? Perhaps you would do well to take an interest.
