I read the review two days ago. I think Williams' critic of Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus" is reasonable and well done. Also, James White of the "Alpha & Omega" ministries did an excellent talk show on the same book "Misquoting Jesus", which I believe is worth listening to. You can hear Dr. White's presentation @: http://www.aomin.org/index.php?blogid=1&archive=2005-12
James White got it all wrong when he said Ehrman was uncomfortable talking about his sojourn among the evangelicals, his doubts, his departure. The NPR interviews of Ehrman are more about his journey into secularism than they are about his books. Ehrman is an evangelist. He loves to tell his testimony. The NPR people love to hear it. That's why they keep having him come back and tell it one more time.
