Theological Terms and the Princess Bride

When students and scholars use technical theological terms the wrong way (like Hypostatization, Apocalyptic, Sitz im Leben, Hermeneutics etc) I always feel like quoting the movie The Princess Bride: "You keep using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means".

Anyway, that is my introduction to what I really wanted to say: the entire Princess Bride Screen play is available here.

Michael, hermeneutically speaking you just hypostatized a sentiment I often have myself. My big issue is the senseless use of words that renders them utterly meaningless (e.g. the term "post modern").

Also, well done on integrating Princess Bride into the world of Biblical studies. If all areas of life were more informed by this genius, genre making film, the world would no doubt be a better place.

One of the best films ever made. My wife and I used the soundtrack for our wedding.
