This is exciting. I especially like that it is free for download and they are giving away free print copies at SBL.
Do you think it is likely that this could replace the standard UBS4/NA27 texts?
what are the odds that it will be available on the Kindle?
A version of this has now been ported to BibleWorks. It's a free download for users. (I think it will only work in BW8).
Looking for clarity:
Nestle-Aland (and UBS) represents the work of committees. Do I understand correctly that this new work, while making use of Nestle etc., is essentially the work of just one person, albeit a highly esteemed person? If so, I am not sure I am particularly excited that, "The result is a critically edited text that differs from the Nestle-Aland/United Bible Societies text in more than 540 variation units."
But perhaps this does not refer to preferred (printed) readings, only to the apparatus.

This should help people understand more about SBLGNT and the role it can/will play in biblical scholarship.
