A Letter from Smyrna

Over at Evangelical Textual Criticism Peter Head has posted A letter to the Global Church from The Protestant Church of Smyrna which is a must read. It is also a call to prayer and a time for reflection on the meaning of the cross for our day.

Dear Mike, Thanks very much for bringing this up. I missed the link at ETC. We(in Borneo) prayed for Turkey's Christians last week and we will pray again this Friday night in our prayer meeting. Reading the messages to the seven churches in Asia Minor (Turkey) of Revelation will never be the same again.

They worship a different Allah to the Allah of Isa.

The Lord will have the victory!

Thank you for sharing this. In China, where I live, Chinese Christians are also meeting in secret due to persecution. The devil has his strong holds; but the blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain.
