My daughter, Alexis, has succeeded in memorizing Colossians 1:15-20! Well done to my gorgeous little princess.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Tell Alexis Mr. Jason said congratulations. Great job!
btw Mike, the college where I teach apparently has a stats/math professor named Michael Bird...I walked into class yesterday and saw his name on the board in my classroom and almost fell over. Are you living a double life? Are you really going to these conferences or are you just coming to the USA to engage your mathematical fantasies? I noticed you were just off the screen in the picture where you (supposedly) had your book signed by Crossley...
Well done to Alexis!
Only Gen 1:1 - Col 1:14 and Col 1:20 - Rev 22:21 to go.
Brilliant! And clearly she takes after her mom!
Nice job, Alexis! More than I'm able to do, I'm afraid. Shamefully, I memorize "gists" more than the actual verses.
While we're boasting about pious Pauline family members: my wife shocked me last year by memorizing the entire book of Romans -- even down to the list of greetings at the end!
And I have enough trouble remembering my own age....
